A 3cy (second-summer) Lesser Black-backed Gull in April, extensively slate-grey mantle and scapulars and some new median coverts. Bill still predominantly dark but with some pale yellow developing at base and part-way along upper mandible. Head clean white as enters 'second summer' plumage.
