Second-winter Glaucous Gull, photographed by Steve Seal at Wilnecote Landfill. Ageing characters include the pale iris; narrower and more diffuse area of black towards tip of bill compared with first-year and extreme tip becoming pale; rather more rounded wing-tip than a first-year bird; and the rather blotchy appearance of the body feathers.
