Glaucous Gull Larus hyperboreusFirst-winter, Warwickshire, March 2005 |
© J. Judge
One of two first-winter Glaucous Gulls which had been roosting at Draycote Water was found dead by John Judge during early March 2005. John took the opportunity to photograph the spread wing, nicely illustrating the plain, creamy-buff primaries and the more variegated wing-coverts and scapulars.
