Yellow-legged Gull Larus michahellisDecember 6th 2005, West Midlands |
© A. R. Dean
A mid-winter Yellow-legged Gull showing the rich yellow legs, dark mantle and clean white head typical of michahellis. The rather round head, unexceptional bill and relatively short legs of this individual compared with e.g. 20/07/03 could indicate that this is a female or conceivably from a different part of the form's range.
