An adult in primary moult. Inner primaries have been dropped, creating an irregularity in the trailing edge of the wing. This stage of moult is typical of birds appearing in Britain in late June and July. This individual has been seasonally resident at Kingsbury, Warks, since 2010, when it was in 2W plumage (see here), so in July 2013 was a known-age individual in its sixth calendar year.
