Vagrant. Four records.

There are four records of this rare visitor from the prairies of North America, two from Warwickshire and two from Staffordshire.

Warwickshire

Draycote Water. Adult. November 6th, 2002. (British Birds 96: 574).

(The Draycote individual was also observed at Stanford Reservoir, Leicestershire/Northamptonshire, November 3rd - 5th, 2002.)

Brandon Marsh, second-summer, April 16th 2008, then at Draycote Water April 16th - 21st 2008.

Staffordshire

Blithfield Reservoir. Adult. August 9th & 10th. 2006.

Chasewater. Adult. From July 15th 2010 and appearing intermittently until July 30th. Then at:
Gailey Reservoirs. July 31st & August 1st 2010.
