Rare visitor. Four records: two West Midlands metropolitan county and two Worcestershire.


 

There have been four records of this North American vagrant, as follows:

West Midlands County.

Edgbaston Reservoir. First-winter. January 15th - 18th, 1985 (British Birds 80: 541).

Bartley Reservoir. Adult. October 12th, 1997 (British Birds 91: 478).

Worcestershire.

Upton Warren. Second-winter. August 26th - September 4th, 1996 (British Birds 90: 483).

Throckmorton Landfill (daytime) and Westwood Pool (roosting), adult, November 25th - 28th, 2005.
