An adult Iceland Gull photographed in late-afternoon light at the gull roost at Bartley Reservoir (left) and at pre-roost assembly at Frankley Reservoir (right). Note the neat outline and delicate proportions (with rounded head, relatively short bill, and attenuated rear end) and the generally pale appearance, including prominent white wing-point.
