Lesser Black-backed Gull 3W

A fourth calendar-year bird in 3W plumage. Resembles adult by third-winter but more extensively sullied head and body, less prominent white tips to primaries and bill retaining immature patterning. In flight, primary coverts and tail would generally display blackish markings of varying prominence.
