Yellow-legged Gull Larus michahellis3cy, July 20th 2004, West Midlands |
© A. R. Dean
Another 3cy in active moult, though slightly less advanced than another 3cy individual photographed on a marginally earlier date. Note dark-centred tertials, extensive dark centres remaining in coverts and dark terminal band to tail. In lower photo note four new inner primaries (p4 still not fully grown), p5 and p6 missing, and old p7 to p10. Underwing still sullied with sparse brown streaking.
